These figures are estimates for planning only and are not tax advice. Your final prep fee depends on the forms and documents you bring. Tax estimates exclude credits such as EITC, education and premium credits, and do not account for every situation. Your final fee is set after we review your intake and documents.

What Our Clients Say
Questions We Hear All the Time
Don't see yours? Text TAXES to (972) 440-5152.
Yes. We serve clients nationwide. Your intake, documents and signatures all happen in your secure client portal, so it doesn't matter where you live. We prepare and e-file returns for every state that has an income tax.
You can sign up for your portal and upload documents any time. The IRS usually opens e-filing in late January, and we file as soon as it does. Individual returns for the 2026 tax year are due April 15, 2027. If you need more time, we can file Form 4868 to extend your filing deadline to October 15, 2027. An extension gives you more time to file, not more time to pay, so any tax you owe is still due in April.
Yes. We prepare returns for 1099 contractors, gig workers and sole proprietors (Schedule C), rental property owners (Schedule E), partnerships and multi-member LLCs (Form 1065), and S corporations (Form 1120-S).
Yes, and you're not the only one. We'll pull your IRS wage and income transcripts to see what was reported under your SSN, then prepare the missing years. The IRS generally expects the last six years to be filed to be in good standing. If you're owed a refund, you usually have three years from the original due date to claim it, so waiting can mean losing money.
Individual returns start at $350 for W-2 only and $425 with itemized deductions. Self-employed returns run $575 to $975, rental property returns $525 to $625, and S-Corp and partnership returns $950 to $1,500. Your first two W-2s and first two dependents are included, and state returns are included at no extra charge. The estimator above gives you a range. Your final fee is set once we've reviewed your intake and documents.
Most e-filed returns with direct deposit are refunded within 21 days after the IRS accepts them. By law, the IRS holds refunds that include the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit until mid-February, so those usually arrive in late February or early March. Paper checks and amended returns take longer.
For your federal refund, use the IRS Where's My Refund tool with your SSN, filing status and exact refund amount. It updates once a day, usually overnight. Each state has its own tracker. Use the Help Center in the estimator above to find the link for your state.
The most common reasons are changes in your withholding, losing a dependent or credit, earning more, or the IRS using your refund to pay a past-due federal or state debt, child support or student loan. If your refund was reduced for a debt, the Bureau of the Fiscal Service sends a separate letter explaining it.
Don't ignore it, and don't panic. Most letters have a response deadline, and responding on time keeps your options open. Find the notice number in the top or bottom right corner, such as CP14, CP2000 or LTR 5071C, and upload a photo of every page to your portal. We'll explain what it means and build a plan to resolve it. IRS letter help starts at $275.
File on time anyway, because the penalty for not filing is much larger than the penalty for not paying. Then you can set up a short-term plan with up to 180 days to pay, or a long-term monthly payment plan. Interest and penalties keep adding up until the balance is paid. We can help you set up the plan.
An Identity Protection PIN is a 6-digit number from the IRS that stops anyone else from filing a return with your Social Security number. Anyone with an SSN or ITIN can get one through their IRS online account, and you get a new one each year. If you have one, upload it to your portal with your documents, because your return can't be e-filed without it.
Yes. We can file an amended return on Form 1040-X to correct income, deductions, credits or filing status. You generally have three years from the original due date to amend for a refund. Amended returns can take 16 weeks or more to process. Amended returns start at $375.
Your documents go through an encrypted client portal, never regular email or text. Access is limited to the people working on your return. As tax professionals, we're required by the FTC Safeguards Rule to keep a written information security plan, and we follow it for every client file.
No. You can sign up for your portal, complete your intake and upload your documents without one. If you'd like to talk through your situation first, you can book an optional 30-minute consultation.
Results vary for every person. Credit bureaus generally have 30 days to investigate a dispute, so most clients see their first round of updates within one to two months. Fully rebuilding a profile often takes several months of disputes, on-time payments and coaching. See our credit services page for full details and required disclosures.
Yes. We help business owners separate personal and business credit, set up the foundation lenders look for, and build business credit over time. See our credit services page to get started.
